Paris (FR) – The biggest showcase of Slovenian film in the French capital

In collaboration with the Slovenian embassy in Paris and under the auspices of a French actor with Slovenian roots Stanislas Merhar 9 films were showcased, namely 5 feature films: Inventory (2021, D. Sinko), a digitally restored classic The Valley of Peace (1956; 2019, F. Štiglic), Sanremo (2020, M. Mandić), Bitch, a Derogatory Term for a Woman (2021, T. Zinajić), and Orchestra (2021, M. Luzar); as well as 4 short films: Sisters (2021, K. Rešek – Kukla), Otava (2021, L. Bregar), Steakhouse (2021, Š. Čadež), and Granny's Sexual Life (2021, U. Djukić).

Schlingel (DE) – Slovenia in Focus, IFF for Children and Young Audience Schlingel

The Space Among Us (2021, R. Jagrič Pirc), Gaja's World: This Is My Planet! (2022, P. Bratuša), and Beanie (2022, S. Maksimović) were shown in the Competition Programme; Moja Vesna (2022, S. Kern) and a co-production Murina (2021, A. Alamat Kusijanović) were shown in the Panorama Programme; Around the Corner (2022, M. Turk) was shown in the Short Film Programme.

Leipzig (DE) – Slovenia in Focus, Dok Leipzig

In collaboration with SKICA Berlin (the Slovenian Cultural Centre in Berlin) 19 animated short films were screened under the title “Conquering the Poetic Space – Slovenian Animation”. The director Špela Čadež had a master class and her 8 short animated films were shown, including multi-award-winning Boles, Nighthawk and Steakhouse.

Theatrical Distribution

Italy from 23rd June in cinemas in Trieste, Udine, Pordenone, Milano and Rome: Sanremo

Croatia, Luxembourg, Slovakia from October to December in cinemas around all three countries, dubbed into the official language of the country:
