In a not-too-distant future ravaged by climate disasters, a team of scientists develops new technology that transmits true emotions from humans on screens to those that watch them. By analysing archival footage of the Mediterranean farmers from the past, a young researcher sets out to understand their commitment to growing fruit trees.

Gregor Božič

Gregor Božič is a director, cinematographer and researcher of Mediterranean pomology. He studied film at AGRFT in Ljubljana and at DFFB in Berlin as well as at Le Fresnoy in France. His work has been presented at international film and art venues across the world, among them at Toronto, Tokio, Locarno, Rotterdam, Sarajevo, Tallinn, Shanghai, Sao Paolo, New York and elsewhere. Apart from working on films , he dedicates his time researching fruit varieties from his native region. He set up a gene bank orchard on the border between Slovenia and Italy, with over 200 old species and wrote a book listing all varieties and the stories connected with them.

NOSOROGI is a workshop-based production studio specialising on development and production of original films that blur the line between fiction and non-fiction. Devoted to supporing up-and-coming artists, NOSOROGI is comitted to facilitating extensive creative research and international collaborations, while also improving the overall sustainability in production practices.
