Ester Ivakič

Ester Ivakič is a director, scriptwriter, and editor who has so far worked on a number of short films, music videos, and animations. She finished her bachelor’s degree in Digital Media and Practices at the School of Arts in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, in 2016 with her short film Srdohrd for which she received a Special Jury Mention at the Festival of Slovenian Film. She wrote and directed the short film Assunta for her master’s degree in Film Direction at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana in 2018. She’s currently finishing post-production of her debut feature film and also remains active working on music videos and experimental films, winning the Best Film award in the FeKK SLO competition for her film Magical Castle is Here Now at FeKK – Ljubljana Short Film Festival in 2021.

Temporama was established in 2013 in order to provide support and opportunities for the new generation of up-and-coming Slovenian film-makers. Since then it has produced a number of short and experimental films, music videos, and web series, such as the 2015 hit Paired Up, created by Luka Marčetić. In 2018, the company’s first feature film Consequences, written and directed by Darko Štante, premiered at Toronto IFF, which was followed by considerable festival and distribution success both at home and abroad. With a stable production output and a number of projects currently in various stages of development, Temporama continues its mission of producing brand new works by young and exciting authors.
