Ester is excited about starting high school, but problems arise as soon as she learns that her ex-boyfriend Kaj has enrolled in the same school with the intention of getting closer to her once again. With all her classmates siding with Kaj, Ester finds an ally in Vanda, with whom - in order to get the approval of her classmates and Vanda's parents - they start pretending to be a couple. At first, the plan seems to work, but new emotions quickly complicate the situation.

Tosja Flaker Berce was born in 1987 in Ljubljana. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana with a degree in Film and Television Directing with his short film Časotresk (2012). As a screenwriter, he has worked on all three seasons of the TV series Paired Up (2015-2019). Kaj + Ester Forever is his feature debut. He likes the rain.
