The Container

A rebellious, tight-knit circle of friends, devoted to skateboarding and their grindcore band, have their friendship put to the test when they're faced with their worst nightmare: losing the only safe haven they have — a squatted storage container in the middle of nowhere. The story of growing up ends when the container is destroyed in front of their eyes. The film was inspired by a group of teenagers who transformed a humble storage container into a vibrant, tolerant, rebellious community.

Simon Intihar is a Slovenian filmmaker and musician. His short films have been screened at over 80 film festivals (Virginia, Manaki, Cucalorus, Alicante, Motovun, etc.), gathering several awards. As a musician he played at more than 100 music festivals, including InMusic, Metal-days, Europavox, WAVES, etc. He is a Talents Sarajevo (2017) and Berlinale Talents (2019) alumnus. In 2019, he curated a list of films for the site www.goodshortfilms.it under the section “Guest Picks”.
