Zarja Menart works as a film animator, illustrator and art director. She was the art director and main animator for several short films, including main animator for Špela Čadež's multiawarded films Nighthawk and Steakhouse. Menart was in these two films, side by side with Čadež, revitalising the multiplane cut-out technique. The short animated film The Three Birds is her debut.
