Gregor Božič

Gregor Božič is a director and cinematographer whose work has been presented at prominent international film festivals such as Cannes, Toronto, Locarno, Rotterdam, Sarajevo, Tallinn, Marseille, Shanghai, Goa, Sao Paolo, etc. His directorial debut Stories From the Chestnut Woods premiered at TIFF in 2019 and has been screened at more than 50 international film festivals. Apart from working on films, since 2010, he has also been researching old and autochthonous fruit varieties. In 2014, he planted an orchard in the village of Kojsko in Goriška brda - a gene bank of local species - and wrote a book on the cultural heritage of old fruit varieties in the Slovenian-Italian border area.
