Milanka Fabjančič is an academic painter specializing in illustration, design, and animation. Her professional debut, the short animated film 'Liliana' (2019, 2D), earned her the award for the best animated film at the Slovenian Film Festival and enjoyed a successful international festival run. Milanka serves as the main animator for the French series 'PASTISH' (2022–) and is the illustrator of numerous recognized and award-winning Slovenian books.

“It is a heartfelt story about two heroines, whose relationship is inspired by my bond with my sister and closest friends, incorporating elements of science fiction intertwined with feelings of nostalgia and references to contemporary social issues. Ultimately, the story highlights the joy of life and playfulness, despite a thousand and one obstacles.”
